Description

This is a notice of intent to award a single source contract and is not a request for competitive bids. The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (herein “District”) intends to award an initial term of three (3) years with two (2) successive one (1) year option periods contract to Messer LLC, a business specializing in manufacturing and supplying industrial gases for more than 120 years. Procurement Instructions

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the District will consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice must contain sufficient documentation to establish basic fitness, verifiable industry experience, a long-term track record, and proven expertise to fulfill the requirements described below under the Scope of Services portion of this notification. Scope of Work

The proposed Contractor will supply nitrogen, hydrogen and bulk storage equipment to the District’s Hydrogen Fueling Stations in Emeryville and Oakland.

This Notice of Intent does not constitute the formation of a contract between the District and the identified contractor. The contractor shall not acquire any legal or equitable rights to the contract services until a contract containing terms and conditions acceptable to the District is executed.

The District reserves the right not to seek competitive proposals. Information received in response to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
